TransISTor is a training initiative organised by CIANT - International Centre for Art and New Technologies in cooperation with FAMU - Film and TV Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague supported by the MEDIA Training Programme of the European Union.

In 2008, TransISTor focuses on robots and motion capture used for special effects in cinema but also for some innovative multimedia performances and artworks.
The training session combines practical workshops, case studies and theoretical presentations by renowned professionals from Europe, Canada and Australia.
Among the presenters there will be:
Australian-based performance artist who works on the relation between the body and the technologies.
Louis Philippe Demers
Artist, Freelance Designer, Professor, Researcher and Entrepreneur who uses machines as media and robotics in performances.
Deadline for application : 31st May 2008
The fee (€ 400 for freelancer and € 800 for corporate) includes: the attendance to the training, the access to high level equipment, the didactic materials, 5 nights of accomodation in wonderful Telč, the breakfasts, lunches and dinners for 4 days.
