It has been particularly concerned with the economic, cultural and social perspectives arising from the developments of a dynamic modernity, and even more particularly with contributing to an artistic, scientific, technological, ecological and pedagogical future.

Prague enjoys, in addition, a peerless geographic location. It is situated in the midst of an ensemble of European countries and has direct relations with the countries of Eastern Europe, as well as those of the Balkans and the Caucasus, all of whom have been called on to play a growing political and cultural role in an expanding Europe.
