Viktor Antonov (FR,USA,BG)

 

He is a winner of the Visual Effects Society award. He has over ten years experience in the entertainment industry, including the art direction of the blockbuster Half Life 2; and the creation of the game’s universe – city 17. VA was a designer for the sci-fi thriller Renaissance, and did matte painting for the series ‘Skyland’.

 

 

Viktor Antonov was born and grew up in Sofia, Bulgaria then immigrated to Paris France at 17. He is renowned for creating compelling fictional worlds that combine beauty with striking realism.

VA is a winner of the Visual Effects Society award. He has over ten years experience in the entertainment industry, including the art direction of the blockbuster Half Life 2; and the creation of the game’s universe – city 17. For his work on the project Viktor won a BAFTA award for best art direction, an outstanding art direction award by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences, a best visual design, numerous best graphics awards and 33 game of the year honours. VA was a designer for the sci-fi thriller Renaissance, and did matte painting for the series ‘Skyland’. He co-authored the book “D’Artiste - Concept Design”. His art has been published in “Raising The Bar -The Art of Half Life 2”, “The Art of Renaissance”, and many magazines worldwide.

One of his latest projects was co-writing The Crossing, a project of the most innovative to date, introducing a new genre of game-play and groundbreaking visuals. The Colony is his first graphic novel. He’s currently a production designer and a co-author for the French feature movie the Prodigies.
Viktor is co writing and art directing the ‘Soleil Eiditions’/’Marvel Comics’ book the Prodigies, prequel of the film.
