Dr. Dalit Naor holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California, Davis, and a B.S. degree from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, all in Computer Science. She is a Research Staff Member and a Manager of the Storage Systems group at IBM Haifa Research Laboratory

Her work is focused on developing advanced functions for storage systems, including support for long-term digital preservation, secure access to storage and power-efficient storage systems. She contributed to the development of the object storage T10 OSD standard, a new object-based storage interface, and is a co-author of the IEEE 1619 standard for "Cryptographic Protection of Data on Block-Oriented Storage Devices”. Together with a team of researchers from IBM Research, she participates in CASPAR, an FP6 European Union project on the Cultural, Artistic and Scientific knowledge for Preservation, Access and Retrieval of digital data. Dr. Naor’s prior areas of interests include combinatorial optimization, bioinformatics, applied security, and content protection.
