Prague

Prague is one of the most important cultural cities of Europe. Throughout its history, Prague has been situated at the very heart of various fundamental developments in Western civilisation and has given birth to great schools of thought, artistic movements and innovations in science and technology. It has been particularly concerned with the economic, cultural and social perspectives arising from the developments of a dynamic modernity, and even more particularly with contributing to an artistic, scientific, technological, ecological and pedagogical future.

Prague enjoys an unpatrolled geographic location. It is situated in the midst of an ensemble of European countries and has close relations with the countries of Eastern Europe, as well as those of the Balkans and the Caucasus, all of whom have been called on to play a growing political and cultural role in an expanding Europe.
